MJM investigate all aspects of document production and document management within the organisation (or critical departments) together with related work-flows. We detail all associated business requirements and identify how they can be effectively addressed using electronic document management systems and additional compatible software. The study report not only provides a business requirements specification but also prescribes a well documented baseline from which to develop a system that meets the business requirements of the client effectively and efficiently.

Our consultants have completed numerous enterprise-wide deployments. This assignment often begins with a proof of concept pilot followed by a full deployment across the enterprise. eStorage & Image Capture
MJM have reviewed the eStorage and image capture requirements of various clients (including back-scanning volumes) and successfully developed solutions incorporating Hummingbird DM, Workflow and Imaging, Kofax Ascent, scanners and multifunction peripherals to streamline business processes and document production cycles and considerably reduce the space required for hard copy file systems. Kofax Ascent Capture is generally deployed to meet production level requirements whereas Kofax Ricochet or Hummingbird Imaging are considered adequate for low volume distributed solutions. Kofax solutions can be integrated with Hummingbird's information management software through automated scripts that release the images directly into the Hummingbird DM back-end system.
Software Upgrades (MJM have successfully upgraded a number of our customers to DM5)
We partner with clients wishing to upgrade not only their existing Hummingbird or Kofax systems to the latest releases but also related NOS, database and application software. Our consultants review the effect of the proposed upgrade on the environment as a whole: supporting technical infrastructure, network & desktop operating systems, desktop applications, underlying database and hardware specifications. We establish a functional test environment and sign off all elements prior to upgrading the live system.
Software Evaluations
MJM have assisted clients with the evaluation of strategic products in a structured and effective way. The focus of this type of assignment is the development of a fully functional test environment for Hummingbird, Kofax and supporting products. Our consultants undertake software installation, configuration, application integration and user orientation. Key features include a review of the product feature set, a review of the connectivity, co-existence and migration issues and a recommendation on the way forward based on the results of the evelautation.
Software Migrations
We have assisted a number of organisations to migrate from another vendor's document management system to Hummingbird's. During these assignments our consultants devise & execute a strategy for migration that includes changes to the underlying database, document & validation data import, administration and end-user training. All elements of our enterprise deployment option are relevant to this package. We have also undertaken assignments for customers wishing to move their backend database from one vendor to another.
Site Health Checks
MJM provides technical & business ''health checks'.
Technical health checks review product versions and licences deployed, operating system, SQL database, integrated applications and the supporting hardware. Typically reviews are carried out to address instability or performance problems, security or resillience issues and can be provided as input to a pending upgrade strategy.

Business health checks are generally carried out after the product has been deployed for some time. The use of the software is reviewed with the end users together with any changes to the supported business processes. These are mapped to the improving functionality of the software.
